Maria is an Economist and Urban Planner with over 8 years of planning experience in the public and private sectors across Victoria and Tasmania.

Maria has a strong understanding of planning systems and project management enabling the successful delivery of development approvals and strategic projects. Maria enjoys the broad range of knowledge that planners develop as they collaborate with a range of technical experts.

Her experience in statutory planning has enable her to ensure strategies and plans have a realistic implementation pathway. She is particularly interested in the collaborative process required for the development of Strategies and Policies and values the importance of effectively ‘translating’ strategies into robust planning policy and guidelines that have a meaningful impact on development outcomes.

She navigates the challenges and opportunities posed by growth pressures through the lenses of both urban planning and urban economics.
